The Knoxville Choral Society is currently accepting applications for three music scholarships given annually to undergraduate/graduate students who are majoring in music. Each scholarship is a one-time award of $750 as well as a featured performance with the Knoxville Choral Society in 2024. Current scholarship applications are due November 15, 2024. REQUIRED: Please be prepared to upload two letters of reference (one must be from one of your major professors), a certified transcript that includes the most recently completed semester or quarter, and a short essay on your career goals and what led you to choose music as your major. You will also be asked to submit an audio or video performance. THE LEOLA BOYCE SCHOLARSHIPAwarded to an undergraduate or graduate student majoring in conducting or music performance. THE MARION CANNON SCHOLARSHIPAwarded to an undergraduate or graduate student majoring in music. The student must be an ethnic minority to qualify. THE PAT BROWN SCHOLARSHIP
Awarded to an undergraduate or graduate student majoring in music education. To learn more about Knoxville Choral Society scholarships, please email our scholarship chair. In addition to the above scholarships, the Knoxville Choral Society established the Choral Conductor’s Scholarship Endowment Fund. This scholarship, which is administered by University of Tennessee School of Music, awards scholarships for graduate study in choral conducting.
